DiMora Custom Bikes Take Top Honors at American Heat Motorcycle Rally

Competition Highlights Annual Palm Springs Event

Palm Springs, California – October 21, 2010 – Following a tradition begun in 2000, this October brought thousands of bikers to Palm Springs for the American Heat Motorcycle Weekend of live music, great parties, and plenty of stunning motorcycles. DiMora Custom Bikes entered two motorcycles in the Open Bike Competition and came away with two First Place, Best-In-Class trophies.

DiMora's newest model, the Series 250 Serpent's Edge softail chopper, was first introduced at this show and took top honors in the Special Interest category. Its Venom 250 rear tire is driven by a 100-plus horsepower DiMora signature 107 cubic inch V-Twin black polished engine, matched to a six-speed transmission. This state-of-the-art driving machine incorporates a number of advanced features, such as a high-tech but elegantly simple wiring system and integrated LED taillights molded into the rear fender. The Serpent's Edge is 50-state EPA certified and complies with DOT and California CARB requirements.

In the Custom Chopper category, the DiMora Series 300 ZTango easy rider softail chopper earned the first place trophy. Its 107 cubic inch DiMora signature V-Twin engine produces over 100 horsepower, connects to a direct-drive RSD six-speed transmission, and drives a Venom 300 rear tire, making it a superior, high performance, "driven art" masterpiece. The ZTango is 50-state EPA certified and complies with DOT and California CARB requirements.
